This blog used to have some very long discussions about the Narnia books: before that it had some random book reviews that probably weren’t read by very many people, but these have perished. It would be nice if I had arrived at some kind of focus since then (all the best blogs have a focus) but alas, no. Currently my life’s very full of work (I manage a small group of tech writers at a software company) and family (I raise two daughters without that much help). It’s also full of books and thoughts and quirky friends who strike sparks off of experience, though, so maybe there will be some connected thoughts once in a while.

Subjects that will come up inevitably are not limited to: food, novels, ideas about childhood, moral torment, philology, and why I can’t make anyone else read Anthony Trollope.
